No I am not going. To go to please family members is a sell out and would serve only to weaken your stance.
Man up and quit.
i was just invited.
i thanked my old elder friend and he left.
(i'm not going).

hi im a 14 year old former catholic trying to find a religion and or faith my parents will drop me off at a service they support me no matter what i was wondering if anyone can prove to me their is a god cause right now im confused!
What if their isnt a god hell or heaven devil or soul what if that all is fake?
Then you can lead the rest of your one and only life free from the superstitious nonsense inflicted on mankind since cave dwellers tried to come up with reasons / excuses for what they saw around them with their limited knowledge.
hi everyone, this may be the stupidest post ever.
i am stumped for an answer and would love to hear your opinions, though.
every week or two for the last couple of years, i have a dream--or at least that's what i'm calling it--that consists of me waking up or thinking that i've waked up, and seeing the ceiling of my darkened bedroom filled with algebraic equations.
Not sure if you mean you dream you wake and then see the symbols or of you mean you actually awake and see them for a minute or two, but Oliver Sacks is the go to guy on this sort of thing.

so i was laying on my bed and i saw on a box a little orange hard cover book.
the bible gods word or man's.
it has my name in it and the release date when i got it at a convention when i was 10 (1989).
how do you say it where you are?
geehovah or jahovah?
Yah a we he, sounds about right. or it could be yoho wuhu if your fancy is tickled.....
He doesnt exist beyond the imaginings of superstitious men whatever he's called.
this came up on terry walstrom thread topic recently and i thought it would be good to explore this further.
the jws are quite boisterous and arrogant that they use the proper name of jehovah as the divine name of god.
but a little investigation discovers something quite different.
Yesterday in the wake of terrys post on YHWH I casually asked my uber dub mother if she knew where the name Jehovah came from, she refused point blank to engage in any conversation she deemed or sensed as being negative (i.e one that doesnt support the JWs) so we never had that conversation.
"The Truth" sure has a hollow ring to it when it runs away from scrutiny at every occasion me thinks....
hey people, .
i am soon going into a kh for the first time and i could use some advice around etiquette etc.
i know next to nothing besides the fundamental beliefs of jws, i personally dont believe in any religion, and that stance isnt ever going to change, however i don't want to come across as rude or disrespectful.
Dont go, just don't. Dont start going, dont think about starting going, dont mention anything about you thinking of going to your wife, if you have then make steps to undo that nonsense right now.
As well as being a wastefest, it will look like you are checking up on the men your wife meets and you will look like a possessive fool. so it is lose lose if you go. So dont bother.
i found once a list on the internet on novels about the new world written by jehovah's witnesses.
don't seam to find it anymore.
does any of you happen to know any novels about the new world?
Pretty sure this is the Joe Horan Who was an astrophysicist (or some such) in my cong growing up. He was a convert (my mother did the deed) in his 20s, he's still in or was about 6 years ago when i met him last.
I doubt they are about "the new world" though LOL...
i'm sure you've seen these, just in case you haven't.

i am not sure if anyone else here heard this phrase.
i did from a circuit overseer when i was a servant many moons ago.
with my newly enlightened mind i finally understand what this means.
